Tulsa Gun Club was founded by the Boy Scouts of America in 1926. The Tulsa Gun Club boasts a rich history intertwined with community spirit and perseverance. Partnering with the City of Tulsa Parks Department and the Oxley Family, we secured the land and built the original trap and skeet range along with a rock clubhouse, all thanks to dedicated volunteers. Incorporated as a Non-Profit 501(C4) entity in the 1970s, the club has since opened its doors to both members and the public, evolving into the premier facility it is today.
Over the years, we’ve faced numerous challenges, including a devastating tornado that destroyed our clubhouse, a flood that submerged 90% of our property, and the global COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, through the resilience of our board, the dedication of our members, and the unwavering support of the public, we continue to thrive and expand.
The Tulsa Gun Club offers a variety of shooting venues and activities. Today we have 5 skeet fields and 3 trap fields, of which 2 of the fields have lights for evening shooting. We have a 5 stand range and a sporting clays venue that is just over a mile in length and accommodates up to 4 shooting courses. In addition to shotgun ranges we have a pistol, rifle, and archery range. TGC also has “Tulsey Town” which is a Cowboy Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) range. Our facilities and activities are open to the public except for the rifle and pistol ranges which are for members only.
